Shark Rotator NV752 Cleaning Performance

The Shark Rotator is supposed to be a premium vacuum that you, as a pet owner, can always rely on to tackle with pet hair and dander on various types of surfaces. But can it live up to the challenge? Let's find out in this post.

Performance

The Shark Rotator NV752 does a great job of cleaning hardwood floors, picking up debris and dust with ease. This upright also works well with larger, thicker area rugs.

However, compared to cheaper models like the Shark NV360 reviews, the suction power of the NV752 is too much for smaller rugs, while the machine provides no mechanism to adjust it other than the low-pile carpet setting. Even in this mode, this vacuum sucked up one of the small rugs in our test.

Shark has introduced the release valve for suction in many of its vacuums, including inexpensive models. This valve enables users to control the suction and even turn it off, depending on your cleaning needs. It's reasonable to expect a model like the Rotator NV752 to come with such a capability, but this is not the case. As the suction is too strong in a bad way, you can try to use the hard floor setting (the less powerful mode) to vacuum your lightweight carpets and rugs.

A great thing about the NV752 is its small floorhead, which allows users to reach areas under furniture. And like a lot of Shark vacuums, such as the Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe NV360, you can also detach the canister of this machine to carry it around for more flexibility.

One of the major issues with this design, at least in some Shark upright vacuums we have tested, is the suction power may drop noticeably in this model. Luckily, this doesn't happen with the Rotator NV752. Unlike other models, the brushroll of this vacuum can be activated even once the canister has been taken off and the suction still maintains its usual power.

Because the NV752 is designed to deal with stuck-in pet hair and dander around the house, it's obvious that we need to find out its performance in practice as well. We put loose hair from small dogs on various surfaces to see how well the NV752 would perform.

Thanks to the motorized brush, it did an amazing job of getting rid of pet hair from area rugs and upholstered furniture. Even though the suction was strong, the brush didn't cause any damage to light fabrics. On wall-to-wall carpeted flooring that was filled with pet hair, the NV752 was able to fill up its dust canister quickly, making the carpet look much fluffier and cleaner than it was at the beginning of the test.

Shark Nv360 Losing Suction Power: Causes And How To Fix

A Cheaper Alternative

Even though the NV752 is an impressive tool for pet owners, not everyone loves the idea of splashing such a big amount of money on a vacuum cleaner. If you have the same feeling, check out the Shark Navigator NV360  reviews- a similar model at a much more affordable price. Like the NV752, it also comes with a self-cleaning brushroll, so you won't have to manually remove pet hair wrapped around the brushroll. Given its capabilities, the NV360 is really good value for money.

Final Verdict

If money is no object and pet hair is your biggest enemy, just get the NV752. While other Shark Navigator Lift-Away upright vacuums might still be a decent choice, they can really go toe-to-toe with the cleaning capabilities of the NV752.
